A Damp Squib or a Real Issue?

With further rain predicted over the bank holiday weekend (of course!), why not take the opportunity to make sure your gutters are running freely.
There is a very minimal cost do this and to put right any needed repairs. However, by not acting, the knock on costs can be significant – as the case of Fenton v Lewis [2015] demonstrates.
This essentially is a case of £500k in costs and compensation over a £7,000 repair.
Whilst an extreme case, it serves to demonstrate the impact of inertia on ones part.
